Ancient, bright-eyed, bald, with a white beard to his belt and the smell of sandalwood smoke on him always. Has tended the Flame for fifty years and claims to remember every Khaasar since Zhaasheer IV. Believes the Flame is the world's truth and that lies are the only real sin; will not tell one even to save a life, and has been asked. Gentle, deaf in one ear, feeds stray cats in the temple courtyard, and once refused the Khaasar entry to the fire-hall for being drunk. Saintly and inflexible. Whichever prince he crowns will be Khaasar, and every prince knows it.
