Tharxa
The capital of Tharax is deliberately unwalled; its people say, "Our walls are men." It is a city of plain stone and timber: barracks halls, open training grounds, austere temples, and nothing decorated. The Thirty and the Skekar sit here with both kings, and the city keeps one small library, which Krirtys Sastorid has read twice. Roads run east through Aldmere's Wrunvos to Nolsomel and Hethlend, south by Sastorra to Zarvand, and southwest by Lokon to Castavar. A Phymon saying holds that an eagle circling Tharxa three times means a king will die, and twice means a king will lie. Caelvenne's Quiet Office keeps agents even here, which is supposed to be impossible.
