The Eternal Flame

The fire at the heart of Zarvand's faith, said to have burned since before the Reckoning, kept at Mazbaaran since 183 R., and to be the first spark of Truth, carried from the mountains by Salestaad the Builder, who never let it go out in forty days of walking. Salestaad finished the first great fire-temple around it in 183 R. Rahaash Kelongaad the Elder has tended it for fifty years and once refused the Khaasar entry to its fire-hall for being drunk; there, on Truth-day, any subject may tell the Khaasar one true thing without punishment. Whichever prince the old Rahaash crowns will be Khaasar.
